Epic Christmas Collaboration

The creativity of the Personal Finance Blogging community never ceases to amaze me. I am very honored to have played a very small part in a Personal Finance rendition of the 12 Days of Christmas.

The creative genius and ringleader behind this bit of video mastery is I Dream of FIRE. He approached me a few weeks back with a crazy idea. I was happy to help and sent a few of my quirky images his way.

He then held a gruelingly competitive American Idol style singing competition. The Budgeting Epicurean emerged victorious while lesser competitors crumpled under the pressure. Or it’s possible, she may have just volunteered her talents.

Either way, I Dream of FIRE took both of our offerings and retreated to his Final Cut Laboratory. (Turns out the Mad Fientist isn’t the only one with a Laboratory.) After a few days and what I assume must have been at least a couple sleepless nights, I Dream of FIRE resurfaced. And he brought with him this Masterpiece.

I cannot emphasize how much work I Dream of FIRE put into this project. So be sure to show him some love and stop on over at his site to tell him what you think.

House Keeping

Shifting gears slightly, for my regular readers this will be my last post of the year. The next couple weeks are filled with travel and family commitments, which will make getting in a weekly blog post difficult. Plus, I don’t think there is a better way to finish the year than with this Christmas collaboration.

I very much appreciate everyone who has stopped by my blog this year, especially those of you who have become regular readers. I look forward to starting the new year with you in just a few short weeks.

Have a Safe and Happy Holiday Season!!

  1. Your Lego characters gave life to this whole video! I especially enjoyed the J. Money mohawk guy. Thanks for your creativity. It would definitely not have been the same without you, just my singing with a tree in the background or something. 🙂 Have a very Merry Christmas and happy holidays with all your travel and family time.

    1. Thanks Budget Epicurean! I think the same can be said of your contribution. The video definitely wouldn’t have been the same without your beautiful vocals to accompany it. It was a fun collaboration, I’m glad I Dream of FIRE put it together!
